TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Florida State released its updated football depth chart Monday morning prior to head coach Jimbo Fisher’s first game-week press conference of the season.

Here are some highlights from the “tentative” depth chart heading into the Louisiana-Monroe ballgame this Saturday. A PDF version of the depth chart is included above.

-Clint Trickett is officially the backup quarterback after an impressive camp.

-Chris Thompson and Ty Jones are atop the running back depth chart. True freshman Devonta Freeman is at No. 3, ahead of senior Jermaine Thomas.

-Willie Haulstead is not on the wide receiver depth chart but is expected to return. He got banged up in the last scrimmage.

-True freshman tight end Nick O’Leary moved ahead of redshirt freshman Will Tye for the No. 3 spot.

-Bjoern Werner held on to his starting spot at left defensive end, despite a strong camp by Cornellius Carradine.

-Redshirt freshman Cameron Erving rose to No. 2 at defensive tackle behind Everett Dawkins.

-True freshman Timmy Jernigan rose and is right behind Anthony McCloud and Jacobbi McDaniel.

-Vince Williams is above Telvin Smith at middle linebacker but the two are essentially co-starters.

-Mike Harris is currently listed as a starter ahead of Xavier Rhodes.

-Terrance Parks appears to have a leg-up on Nick Moody at one of the safety spots, even though the two are listed as co-starters.

-Freshman Karlos Wiliams is right behind Parks and Moody.
