LIEPAJA, Latvia – Florida State women’s basketball player Leonor Rodriguez scored 10 points and Spain earned an 80-57 win over Turkey on Wednesday at the FIBA U20 European Championship in Liepaja, Latvia.


With the victory, Rodriguez and her Spanish teammates moved to 5-0 overall in Group F and captured first place in their group qualifying round. Spain next matches up against the Ukraine on Friday.


Prior to the win over Turkey, Rodriguez’s squad earned triumphs over Lithuania and Belarus in back-to-back days.


Through six total games in Latvia, Rodriguez — FSU’s rising sophomore guard from the Canary Islands — has averaged 24.7 minutes played per contest and 10 points on 55.3 percent shooting.


Rodriguez ranks No. 20 in total assists at the FIBA U20 European Championship, No. 16 in total two-point field goals made and No. 5 in field goal percentage.
