TALLAHASSEE — Sunshine Network will produce and air taped coverage of all 13 Florida State University regular season football games this fall to its statewide audience of 5.7 million homes.
This is the third consecutive year Sunshine has produced every Seminoles game, bolstering the network’s strong year-round coverage of FSU athletics, which rivals that of any other Division I university. FSU and Sunshine have been partnered since 1988.
All 13 games will be produced by Sunshine Network and air statewide during the network’s “Prime Time ‘Noles” time block Sundays at 7 p.m. (ET), and will also replay Mondays at 12:30 p.m. Each edition of “The Bobby Bowden Show” will air Sundays at 12:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. and Mondays at 4 p.m.
The games will air live on national networks, in regional syndication or via pay-per-view, but will also be produced by Sunshine Network, with Paul Kennedy and Keith Jones calling the action.
In addition to its coverage of Florida State football games, Sunshine Network has a separate agreement with the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC), which provides for weekly conference games Saturdays at 12 Noon beginning October 5, plus “ACC Live,” a weekly magazine show which covers the ACC, airing Mondays at 6:30 p.m. beginning September 2.
Sunshine Network will also air the “SUNSHINE NETWORK LIVE! Florida State Seminoles Preseason Special,” airing Wednesday, August 14, at 6:30 p.m. with a repeat scheduled for later that night at 10:30 p.m. and Thursday, August 15, at 6 a.m. “Seminole Sports Magazine” airs Saturdays at 11 a.m. followed by “Seminole Uprising” at 11:30 a.m. beginning August 31. The “ACC Preseason Special” premieres Saturday, August 24, at 3 p.m. with repeats Sunday, August 25, at Noon, and Monday, Aug. 26, at 11:30 a.m. And “Bubba Burgers College Kickoff,” which airs Saturday mornings at 10 a.m. with host Frank Frangie, will bring gameday insight and analysis to each Florida State game. This season Bubba Burgers College Kickoff is scheduled to originate live on location for Florida State’s games against Miami and Florida.
FSU athletics also continues to be a large part of the network’s local sports news coverage. NEXTEL FLORIDA SPORTS NEWS, weeknights at 10 p.m., with hosts Barry Milligan and Tom Block, will cover Florida State athletics with news and features on the Seminoles. NEXTEL FLORIDA SPORTS NEWS co-host Tom Block covers FSU full-time and, with his knowledge and inside access to FSU athletics, will be in the perfect position to provide the inside scoop to FSU fans on both programs.
