TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Jimbo Fisher has a lot to say about his Florida State football program and he will have plenty of time to share his message this season. Seminole ISP Sports and FSU announced Friday that Fisher’s weekly television show has been extended to an hour-long format.
“There is so much positive energy and really dramatic interest in our program right now and we just felt that the traditional 30-minute show would not satisfy the audience’s needs,” said Seminole ISP General Manager Paul Phipps. “We have such a talented group producing the show in Seminole Productions that we have felt for the last few years that we couldn’t get everything in the show. We will be able to have additional feature-oriented content, along with a more significant look at the upcoming game.”
The Jimbo Fisher TV Show will air statewide on Sun Sports each Monday at 4:00 p.m. with replays on Monday and Tuesday nights at 11 p.m.
Locally, FOX49/WTLH will air The Jimbo Fisher TV Show on Saturday mornings from 10:30-11:30 just prior to the ACC Football Impact show and the ACC Football Game of the Week.
“We are extremely excited to be airing the The Jimbo Fisher Show during its inaugural season,” said Dan Mecca, General Manager of Fox 49/WTLH in Tallahassee. “FOX49 has enjoyed a great relationship with Florida State and Seminole Athletics over the years and feel the addition of the show is the perfect fit to our Saturday ACC line up. Our goal is provide the viewers of North Florida and South Georgia the best local sports and entertainment programming available, so when we first began talks with Seminole Athletics about carrying the show on FOX49, there was never a hesitation whether we would air it or not. We would like to say good luck to coach Fisher and the entire Seminole football team on a great season. Go Noles!”
Coach Fisher’s first show will air Monday, September 6, following the Seminoles’ season-opener with Samford.
