Advisor for: Women’s Basketball, Men’s Track & Field, Men’s Cross Country & Initial Eligibility
Aaron Vause serves as academic counselor and Admission/Clearinghouse Liaison for the Florida State Athletic Academic Support office. Vause supervises the academic progress of the Women’s Basketball and Men’s Track &Field team, as well as, Men’s Cross Country. Vause’s responsibilities include monitoring academic eligibility, advisement and assisting in the recruitment of all prospective student-athletes. Vause works with all prospective student athletes during the pre-enrollment process. He works with the coaches, prospective student athletes and the university from their first on campus visit, where admission requirements are discussed, until the first day of orientation at FSU. Vause earned a Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management from Florida State and went on to receive a Master’s degree in sports administration. Vause, a native of Palatka, FL, is a member of the National Association of Academic Advisors for Athletics (N4A) and has coached high school football.
