TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – A big day for former FSU linebacker Lawrence Timmons highlighted the NFL Wildcard playoffs for the Noles in the NFL. Timmons’ Pittsburgh Steelers advanced to the Divisional round, as did Letroy Guion’s Green Bay Packers.
Here’s a lap around the league:
Houston 27, Oakland 14
Raiders: LT Menelik Watson and C Rodney Hudson each started up front. Hudson injured his ankle during the game but later returned. DE Mario Edwards Jr. started and made three tackles. K Sebastian Janikowski was 2 for 2 on extra-point attempts.
Seattle 26, Detroit 6
Lions: WR Anquan Boldin started and caught two passes for 24 yards.
Pittsburgh 30, Miami 12
Steelers: LB Lawrence Timmons started and had a team-high 14 tackles (two for loss), two sacks and two QB hurries. LB Vince Williams made two tackles. RB Karlos Williams is on the practice squad.
Green Bay 38, New York Giants 13
Packers: DT Letroy Guion started and made three tackles.
Giants: OL Bobby Hart played as a reserve.
