Academy Sports+Outdoors Noles In The NFL: Week 9

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Four FSU defensive players have emerged as cornerstones of what may be the best team in the NFL. Linebacker Nigel Bradham, defensive tackle Timmy Jernigan and cornerback Patrick Robinson are all starting and thriving for the 8-1 Philadelphia Eagles, and their ranks will only grow stronger once cornerback Ronald Darby returns from an ankle injury. All three active players had a hand in Philadelphia’s rout of Denver on Sunday, with Robinson (2006-09) grabbing his third interception of the season.

Here’s a lap around the league:

New York Jets 34, Buffalo 21
Jets: S Terrence Brooks was inactive.
Bills: TE Nick O’Leary started and caught four passes for 51 yards. WR Kelvin Benjamin was inactive after being traded from Carolina to Buffalo earlier in the week.

Carolina 20, Atlanta 17
Panthers: K Graham Gano was 2 for 2 on field goals (31, 45 yards) and 2 for 2 on extra points. K Roberto Aguayo is on the practice squad.
Falcons: RB Devonta Freeman started, rushed 11 times for 46 yards and caught four passes for 18 yards.

Jacksonville 23, Cincinnati 7
Jaguars: LB Telvin Smith started and made four tackles (one for loss). CB Jalen Ramsey started and made one tackle before being ejected after an incident with Bengals receiver A.J. Green. WR Rashad Greene (Achilles) is on injured reserve.
Bengals: WR Kermit Whitfield is on the practice squad.

New Orleans 30, Tampa Bay 10
Saints: CB P.J. Williams made two tackles and defended one pass.
Buccaneers: QB Jameis Winston started and completed 7 of 13 attempts before leaving the game with a shoulder injury. He also had eight yards on two carries. CB Javien Elliott played but did not record any statistics. LS Garrison Sanborn handled long-snapping duties. WR Jesus Wilson is on the practice squad.

Los Angeles Rams 51, New York Giants 20
Rams: DB Lamarcus Joyner started at free safety and recorded four tackles.
Giants: OL Bobby Hart started at right tackle. WR Travis Rudolph played but not record any statistics.

Broncos: OL Menelik Watson started at right tackle. DE DeMarcus Walker was inactive.

Arizona 20, San Francisco 10
49ers: LB Dekoda Watson played on special teams and downed a punt. DE Cornellius Carradine (ankle) is on injured reserve.

Washington 17, Seattle 14
Redskins: RB Chris Thompson carried four times four 20 yards and caught four passes for 11 yards. K Dustin Hopkins (hip) is on injured reserve.

Dallas 28, Kansas City 17
Cowboys: CB Marquez White is on the practice squad.
Chiefs: OL Cameron Erving played as a substitute. LB Terrance Smith played but did not record any statistics.

Oakland 27, Miami 24
Raiders: DE Mario Edwards Jr. started, made five tackles and record 0.5 sacks. OL Rodney Hudson started at center. QB EJ Manuel did not play. K Sebastian Janikowski (back) is on injured reserve.
Dolphins: LB Lawrence Timmons started and made four tackles (one for loss).
