Academy’s Noles In The NFL: Week 9

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – A game-changing interception by former Florida State standout Timmy Jernigan and another touchdown from Anquan Boldin highlighted Week 9 for the Noles in the NFL.

Here’s a lap around the league:

Atlanta 43, Tampa Bay 28
Falcons: RB Devonta Freeman carried 17 times for 77 yards, and he added two catches for 27 yards.
Buccaneers: QB Jameis Winston completed 23 of 37 passes for 261 yards and three touchdwons, and he added another 14 yards. K Roberto Aguayo was 4 for 4 on extra poits.

Baltimore 21, Pittsburgh 14
Ravens: DT Timmy Jernigan started, made two tackles, defended a pass and grabbed an interception.
Steelers: LB Lawrence Timmons started and led the team with nine tackles. He also defended two passes. LB Vince Williams made two tackles (one on special teams). RB Karlos Williams is on the practice squad.

Dallas 35, Cleveland 10
Browns: C Cameron Erving started up front. He was disqualified for throwing a helmet at a Cowboys defender on the first drive of the game. DT Nile Lawrence-Stample (shoulder) is on injured reserve.

Kansas City 19, Jacksonville 14
Chiefs: LB Terrance Smith is on the practice squad.
Jaguars: LB Telvin Smith started, made five tackles and defended a pass. CB Jalen Ramsey started and made two tackles. WR Rashad Greene was inactive.

Detroit 22, Minnesota 16 (OT)
Lions: WR Anquan Boldin started and caught two passes for 10 yards, including a 1-yard touchdown.
Vikings: CB Xavier Rhodes started and made seven tackles.

New York Giants 28, Philadelphia 23
Giants: OT Bobby Hart stared up front.
Eagles: LB Nigel Bradham led the tea, with 10 tackles and defended a pass. S Terrence Brooks played but did not record any statistics.

Carolina 13, Los Angeles 10
Panthers: WR Kelvin Benjamin caught five passes for 76 yards K Graham Gano was 2 for 3 on field goals (makes from 38, 37, miss from 48) and 1 for 1 on extra points.
Rams: CB Lamarcus Joyner made four tackles.

New Orleans 41, San Francisco 23
Saints: CB P.J. Williams (neck) is on injured reserve.
49ers: DL Cornellius Carradine had for tackles (one for loss). QB Christian Ponder was inactive.

Indianapolis 31, Green Bay 26
Colts: CB Patrick Robinson started and made two tackles.
Packers: DT Letroy Guion started and made three tackles.

Oakland 30, Denver 20
Raiders: C Rodney Hudson started up front. LT Menelik Watson was active for the first time since suffering a calf injury Week 3 and played as a reserve. K Sebastian Janikowski was 3 for 4 on field goals (makes from 24, 29, 35, miss from 48) and 3 for 3 on extra points.
Broncos: LB Dekoda Watson made a tackle on special teams.

Monday Night Football: Buffalo at Seattle
Bills: CB Ronald Darby has 36 tackles and eight passes defended in seven starts this season. TE Nick O’Leary has caught seven passes for 94 yards and has appeared in all eight games (two starts). LS Garrison Sanborn has handled long-snapping duties in every game this season. QB EJ Manuel is 2 for 5 passing for 45 yards this season. He has appeared in three games. RB James Wilder Jr. is on injured reserve.

Bye weeks: Arizona, Chicago, Cincinnati, Houston, New England, Washington
Bears: NT Eddie Goldman has four tackles and 0.5 sacks in two games this season, but he hasn’t played since Week 2 due to an injury. LB Christian Jones has 11 tackles and pass defended in eight appearances (two starts).
Patriots: OG Tre’ Jackson (knee) has yet to play this season due to an injury.
Redskins: RB Chris Thompson has 418 combined yards (211 receiving, 207 rushing) and two touchdowns in eight appearances this season. K Dustin Hopkins is 18 for 22 on field goals with a long of 50 yards.
