GREENSBORO, N.C. – The Atlantic Coast Conference announced Monday that Florida State’s Ganiyat Adeduntan was named this week’s Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week, marking the second straight week a Seminole has earned the award.
Adeduntan, a junior forward had the game of her career as Florida State defeated North Carolina 79-73 in overtime. The Athens, Ga., native scored a career-high 26 points to lead all players and added a team-high nine rebounds. She also led the team with a career-high five assists.
From the floor, Adeduntan was 10-for-16 (.625) including a 3-for-4 (.750) mark from behind the three-point arc and a 3-for-4 mark from the free throw line. In her 37 minutes of play, Adeduntan had no turnovers and has helped the Seminoles establish a program-best 17-2 record overall.
