Baseball America Ranks Noles No. 2 to Open Season

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida State will open the 2017 season ranked No. 2 in the country by Baseball America, the organization announced in releasing its preseason Top 25 Monday morning.

For the Seminoles, it is the fourth Top 10 ranking to open the year and its third in the top three, joining D1Baseball.com and Perfect Game, both of which ranked the Noles No. 3.

FSU will face six teams ranked by Baseball America: No. 3 Florida, No. 7 Louisville, No. 10 Clemson, No. 14 North Carolina State, No. 16 Virginia, and No. 17 North Carolina.

The 2017 will kick off in less than one month, with Opening Day set for 4:00 p.m. against VCU on February 17 at Dick Howser Stadium.
