TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –
Hall of Fame head coach Mike Martin and the 2010 ACC Champion Seminole Baseball team will play host to the 27th Annual Garnet and Gold game Friday, Oct. 22 at 6 p.m. The annual scrimmage, which marks the traditional end of the fall baseball season, will be held on Mike Martin Field inside of Dick Howser Stadium and is free to the public.
Make sure to get to the stadium at 5 p.m. to watch your favorite players take batting practice.
Florida State finished the 2010 season with 48 wins, won the ACC Tournament championship and made a trip to the College World Series in Omaha, Neb. The Seminoles return seven starters including All-American Mike McGee and welcome 13 new players to this year’s roster.
Last year, the Gold team defeated the Garnet team by a close 6-5 margin. This year could be different. Will the Gold team earn another triumph, or will Garnet turn the tables? Come out Friday to find out and support the Seminoles!
