    The Seminoles: Florida State (24-3, 6-0 ACC) host Akron for a two-game
    series to start a 14-game home stand. FSU has won 10 straight games and
    has a consensus No. 1 ranking by Collegiate Baseball, Baseball America, and
    Baseball Weekly.

  • The Seminoles swept the ACC awards this week as catcher Jeremiah
    Klosterman earned ACC Player of the Week and RHP Nick Stocks garnered ACC
    Pitcher of the Week. Klosterman batted .438 for the week with 7 RBI, six
    runs and four doubles, while Stocks held NC State to 8.0 scoreless innings
    and struck out a career-high 12 batters.

  • 2B Marshall McDougall is riding a 18-game hitting streak in which he is
    batting .440 with 29 RBI.

  • LHP Zach Diaz became the all-time leader in career relief appearances on
    Sunday with a scoreless inning against NC State. He now has 93 and
    counting and needs just 17 more outing to be the FSU all-time appearances.

  • RF Matt Diaz has hit safely in nine of the last 10 games and is batting
    .430 (19-for-44) with 15 RBI during that span. He has hit safely in 24 of
    27 games this year.

  • 3B Kevin Cash is batting .480 (13-for-27) during a seven-game hitting
    streak.

  • C Jeremiah Klosterman is riding a 12-game hitting streak and is
    batting .400 (16-for-40) with 11 RBI during that span.

  • FSU is batting .329, has hit 42 home runs while averaging 9.0 runs per
    game.

  • The Seminole pitching staff has posted a 2.58 ERA and opponents
    are batting just .217 against FSU. The staff is averaging 10.0 strikeouts
    per game.

  • FSU has allowed double-digit hits by opponents only five times this
