Baseball Player Earns Honor

TALLAHASSEE, FL — Florida State catcher Jeremy Salazar garnered Atlantic
Coast Conference Baseball Player of the Week honors for his outstanding
efforts in last week’s games.

Salazar, a senior from Breaux Bridge, La., batted .444 (8-for-18) for the
week with two doubles, two home runs and eight RBI. He hit the
game-winning home run in FSU’s 10-9 win over Duke last Sunday as Florida
State (24-7) extended their winning streak to 13 games.

Salazar leads the Seminoles with a .400 average, 10 doubles and 41 RBI on
the season. He has also contributed six home runs.
