Basketball Adds Televised Game

Sept. 15, 2009

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – With the addition of its game at Virginia on Feb. 17, 2010 to the ESPNU slate of contests, each of Florida State’s 16 ACC games will be televised during the 2009-10 season it was announced by the ACC Office. It marks the first time since the 1998-99 season that the Seminoles’ entire ACC schedule will be televised.

Included on the Seminoles’ 16-game ACC schedule are 11 nationally televised games (four on Fox Sports, two on ESPN, three on ESPN2 and two on ESPNU), two televised by Florida State’s television partner SunSports and three by Raycom Sports. The final eight games of the regular season will be on national television.

The addition of Virginia to Florida State’s television schedule gives the Seminoles 26 of a possible 30 regular season games that will now be televised. Because the television schedule is fluid and can change as the conference office works to add more games to the broadcast slate, the number of Seminole games on television could climb even higher.

Florida State will play its first exhibition game on Nov. 3 and open its regular season on Nov. 16 at home against Jacksonville.
