Obviously we are very fortunate to get a win (Saturday) over a fine Wake Forest team. They are battle tested and well coached. They made plays and worked well on both sides of the ball.
On Dave Shinskie and the future of the quarterback position:
(It was) one game. He did a good job and performed well. We are very happy with his performance but there are a lot of other circumstances that surround this. Once again, we are happy with what he did. There are different circumstances that they all will see and that hasn't been done yet. There is still a lot of football to be played and a lot of different things coming his way.
On what he has learned about his team:
I've found out that we have a little bit more emotion in us than we have shown in the past. I found out there is a little bit more leadership there than we have seen. We knew it was there but we finally have seen it.
On if he thinks the team is where he expected it to be:
We take it one game at a time. We expect to win every week and that's how we play. At the end of the year, we'll find out. It's still early in the year to find out what kind of team you are. I think you are seeing that in college football right now. It's too early. It's going to take us awhile to figure it out.
On what he is expecting of Florida State:
There are lot of different schemes and approaches (to consider). There is different speed and different scorers. There a lot of different circumstances that we have to get a better handle on.
We know exactly what we have to do in that area. That is not acceptable and the team knows it. They knew it before the game but they know it a little better now.
Lars Anderson's status is day to day. He had a lower leg bruise and he was evaluated today. A few of the guys were banged up but I think that everyone is going to be ready to go on Tuesday.
On the defensive line:
We have some pressure on the quarterback and I think we have to take a look at how we are doing it and get a little better feel for some things. Once again, a lot of it is the competition. Riley (Skinner) is a clever guy and he was able to step up and see some things. We have to address it. It's not a real problem but we didn't manage it well Saturday and we have to do a better job.
On Florida State:
They are very talented. They are big, fast and athletic. We've got our hands full.
