TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –
Prepare to blanket yourself in garnet during the Florida State men’s basketball game against Georgia Tech when Dodge presents the Garnet Gala this Sunday, Feb. 20 at the Donald L. Tucker Center. Garnet t-shirts and 5,000 rally towels will be distributed inside the arena for the Seminoles’ nationally televised game against the Yellow Jackets.
“We want to make sure that fans have a good time when they come to the games and that we are able to offer some nice things that make our team look really good on national TV,” said Kay Scott, Florida State’s Director of Athletic Promotions. “We want everyone who comes to the game to put their shirt on so when people see it on ABC they will be floored by the support that our fans are able to show.”
The doors to the Tucker Center open at 12:30 p.m. and tip off is at 1:30 p.m. as the Seminoles play host to the 2004 national runner-up Yellow Jackets. The big ACC home match-up is presented by Follett, who will be providing 5,000 rally towels at the game to help cheer on the Seminoles. Fans should also look forward to the Harlem Wizards who will perform at halftime.
“We want to help create a strong atmosphere inside of the arena to give our players the home court atmosphere they have worked so hard to achieve,” Scott said. “We want our team to see and hear all the fans when they are on the court and know they have the support of the entire Seminole Nation.”
A limited number of tickets are remaining and fans are encouraged to purchase them early by calling the Athletics Tickets office at 64-GOFSU or 1-888-FSU-NOLE, or on the web at www.seminoles.com.
