TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida State’s Brooke Niles, the 2016 American Volleyball Coaches Association Coach of the Year, announced the Seminoles’ beach volleyball program will host a spring beach volleyball camp on that will take place on Feb. 25-26.
Niles, who begins her second season at the helm, returns 15 players from a unit that finished 32-3 and was the national runner-up to Southern Cal in the NCAA Championship Tournament in 2016. In her first year, Florida State established a program record for dual-match victories, earned the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association Conference championship and was the top-seed in the inaugural NCAA Beach Volleyball Championship.
The two-day spring beach volleyball camp will provide fundamental individual instruction to each camper through a variety of coaching techniques and will incorporate these fundamentals into a team concept that can benefit individual’s development.
The camp is open to any age group and individual that would like to participate, costs $200 per person (click here to register). Coach Niles and Raul Papaleo are conducting a series of sessions on Saturday, Feb. 25; scheduled from 9 a.m.-12 p.m and a second Saturday session from 2-5 p.m. The final session will be held on Sunday, Feb. 26 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m.
