If you saw Wednesday’s announcement that two different three-game ticket packages are now available for Florida State football games this fall, you probably noticed that the NC State matchup included in that trio of FSU home games will feature none other than Bobby Bowden.
Yes, that Bobby Bowden; the living legend himself will be returning to watch his Seminoles take on the Wolfpack.
For the first time since retiring at the conclusion of the 2009 season, Bowden, the architect and orchestrator of the FSU football dynasty, will return to Doak Campbell Stadium and the very field that bares his name for Bobby Bowden Day” Oct. 26 when the ‘Noles host NC State and you can be there to witness this very special occasion.
If you are not a season-ticket holder, the $160 three-game package that features tickets for the Nevada (Sept. 14) and Miami (Nov. 2) games and that special contest against the Wolfpack represents the first opportunity for fans to purchase their tickets to welcome Bowden home.
Bobby Bowden Day” will also be preceded by a host of special events Friday night before the game in celebration of the head coach that guided the Seminoles to two national championships and decades of college-football dominance.
Bowden will later return to Doak Campbell Stadium as part of the 20th anniversary celebration of the 1993 national championship team when Syracuse comes to Tallahassee in November but the Oct. 26 game is the event that is dedicated entirely to the longtime FSU coach.
