For the third time this season, Florida State freshman Britany Miller, who hails from Tallapoosa, Ga., has been recognized by the Atlantic Coast Conference with ACC Co-Rookie of the Week honors.
Miller, the only Seminoles who has started all 21 games, averaged 10.0 points and 4.5 rebounds per game in two wins last week, including FSU’s first win of the season over a ranked opponent. The rookie scored in double figures in both games while averaging just 24.5 minutes per game – the lowest among the five starters. Her 10 points and six rebounds at Georgia Tech were instrumental in FSU’s comeback victory while her 10 points, three rebounds, two steals and two blocks helped the Seminoles earn their first win over NC State since the 2003 season and FSU’s largest win (14 points) over the Wolfpack, by margin, in the series.
On the season, Miller has scored in double figures in 14 games, including five ACC games, and has a team-high 31 blocks. She’s third on the team in scoring at 10.3 points and second in rebounding at 5.3 rebounds per game.
