GREENSBORO, N.C. – Florida State’s Brooke Wyckoff has been named the ACC Player of the Week after leading the Seminoles to three straight wins last week and into second place in the ACC standings.

Week recognition after leading Florida State to league victories over
No. 4 Duke, Georgia Tech and Maryland. In the three wins, including road victories at No. 4 Duke and Maryland, Wyckoff averaged 23.3 points and 7.3 rebounds while shooting 54 percent from the field, 56 percent from three-point land and a perfect 100 percent from the free throw line.
In FSU’s 89-69 win over Georgia Tech, Wyckoff recorded a career-high 30 points on 61 percent shooting from the field (11-18), went a perfect 5-for-5 from the charity stripe and hit 3-of-6 three-pointers. She also grabbed nine rebounds in 35 minutes of play. At No. 4 Duke, Wyckoff scored 20 points on 50 percent shooting, was 2-of-4 from beyond the arc and tallied eight rebounds and five steals. In the win at Maryland, Wyckoff again scored 20 points, again shot 50 percent from the field and also hit 4-of-6 three-pointers, a career-high, while grabbing five rebounds, six assists and two blocks in 36 minutes of action.
Wyckoff has led FSU to a 15-8 record and a 7-5 mark in the ACC. It is the most wins FSU has had since the 1991-92 season and FSU’s best ACC start since that year. FSU has now earned sweeps over Georgia Tech and Maryland (first-ever) and recorded its first win over Duke since February 25, 1994.
The Seminoles will host Wake Forest on Thursday, February 15th at 7 p.m.
