Buckeyes And Seminoles In Alaska Shootout Opener

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) – Ohio State’s basketball team will play Florida State
Nov. 23 in the opening round of the eight-team Great Alaska Shootout in
Anchorage.

The game will be the opener of a doubleheader, with the second game
featuring DePaul against Syracuse. The winners of those two games will play
each other the following day, as will the losers of the two games.

The eight-team tournament opens Nov. 22, with Rhode Island playing Missouri
and Valparaiso going against Alaska-Anchorage.

Ohio State and Florida State have played each other three times, with the
Buckeyes winning all three games – in 1961 and 1967 at Columbus and in 1968 at
Tallahassee, Fla.
