TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida State’s Charles Clark (Virginia Beach, Va.) was named earlier today the Atlantic Coast Conference Men’s Indoor Track & Field Performer of the Week for his efforts this past weekend at the New Balance Collegiate Invitational.

Clark, a seven-time All-American and NCAA Champion, ran the fastest 200m time in a banked track (second fastest overall) with 20.83 in his 2009 debut at the Armory Track and Field Center in New York. His time is just 33-one hundredths of a second off from his personal record achieved last indoor season.

Beginning his junior year, Clark has many accolades coming into his third season with the Seminoles. Over his two year stint in Tallahassee, Clark has been a four-time ACC Champion, five-time All-ACC and holds several records including the ACC record in the 4x100m relay with 38.60.

Up next for both men’s and women’s track and field teams will be the Tyson Invitational in Fayetteville, Arkansas this Friday and Saturday, February 13 and 14.
