In the month of July, the annual Chris Poole Volleyball Camp will return once again to Tully Gym as Florida State’s three outstanding coaches in Chris Poole, Holly Watts and Gokhan Yilmaz will provide excellent instruction for the aspiring volleyball athlete.
The volleyball camp has become a summer staple in Tallahassee and is a reputable teaching tool by some of the best minds in collegiate volleyball. Once again, several different camps are offered to fit the need of every camp participant.
A morning individual skill clinic (July 10, 18, 22, 25) is offered, as well as an Elite Camp (July 10-11), an individual skills camp (July 10-11, 14-15) and a position camp (July 12, 16). The official camp brochure provides detailed information on age ranges, times and more for each camp.
Team camps are also returning to the Chris Poole Volleyball Camp, with each designed for coaches and their teams to learn together. The camps will feature individual instruction sessions and competition sessions. Camp participants will also receive a T-shirt
Florida State volleyball is coming off its third Atlantic Coast Conference title in the last four seasons, and is the first ACC team to post back-to-back conference championships since Maryland in 2003 and 2004. The Seminoles won the ACC title with an 18-2 conference record and are now 36-4 over their last two seasons in conference play.
