Position:
Graduate Assistant

A native of Tallahassee, Chris is currently a student at Florida State University. In the Fall of 2008 he left the private sector where he was a respected Strength and Speed Coach to pursue his dream of working exclusively with collegiate athletes.

He acknowledges that working in the private sector helped prepare him for his current position with the FSU Strength & Conditioning department. It afforded him the privilege of working with and training amateur collegiate and professional athletes. He assisted in the creation of a statewide youth-focused fitness program including the development and certification of the program’s coaches. In addition, Chris helped design and implement training programs for the armed forces, including Navy Seals and Green Berets.

He credits his extensive knowledge of coaching and training to time spent with the Florida State Strength and Conditioning staff. Chris maintains that working with such great coaches has benefited him in all areas of his life. Because of this, he enjoys coaching athletes on how to reach their full potential through motivation and inspiration.

Living with the belief that there are no limits; there are only plateaus, and one must not stay there, they must go beyond them to succeed is why Chris as has achieved so much at a relatively young age. Chris is a recognized certified member and coach of the National Association of Speed and Explosion as well as USA Track and Field. Future plans include attaining his certification through both the National Strength and Conditioning Association and the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association ultimately leading to a career as a Strength and Conditioning coach.

He feels very fortunate to have the privilege of working with the Seminoles.
