Assistant Athletic Trainer – Football

Chris Williams was hired as an assistant athletic trainer at Florida State University in May of 2010. His main responsibility is providing care for the FSU Football team.

Before coming to Tallahassee, Chris was the head men’s basketball athletic trainer at Kent State University for the 2009-2010 MAC Championship season. He also provided care for the Wrestling and Cheerleading teams while at Kent State.

Chris has also gained experience as an NFL yearlong intern with the New England Patriots. He worked with the Patriots from May of 2008 until June of 2009.

Chris earned a Master’s Degree in Adult Education in 2008 from North Carolina State University. He worked with the NC State football team as a graduate assistant from 2006-2008.

A native of Columbus Ohio, Chris earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training in 2006 from The Ohio State University. He attended Ohio State from 2002-2006 and worked as an athletic training student with the football, men’s volleyball, men’s ice hockey, and aquatic sports teams. While at Ohio State, Chris was an NFL summer intern with the New England Patriots in 2005.
