Christian Ponder to make first start

Reports have surfaced today that former Florida State quarterback Christian Ponder has been notified that he will make his first career start for the Minnesota VIkings this Sunday.

The Vikings have struggled this season under veteran quarterback Donovan McNabb and currently have a 1-5 record.
Ponder replaced McNabb in the fourth quarter Sunday night in a loss to the Chicago Bears. The 12th pick in the 2011 NFL Draft threw for 99 yards and ran for eight.
If the reports are true, Ponder has the tall task of taking on the undefeated and defending Super Bowl champion Green Bay Packers this weekend. The game is at 4:15 and will air on FOX.
