Christina Denny Wins At Lady Seminole Classic

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — Freshman Christina Denny, who was the No. 1
seed in the Flight B doubles at the 2000 Lady Seminole Classic, lived up to
her billing, defeating teammate Jessica Balbuena, 7-5 and 6-3, Sunday
morning to earn the Flight B singles championship. In her first collegiate
tournament, Denny, who received a first round bye, won four straight en
route to the title.

In the singles Flight A finals, No. 1 seed Jessica Lehnhoff of
Florida defeated No. 2 seed Alida Gallovits of Florida State, 6-2 and 6-0
while FSU senior Christy Travis fell in the consolation finals to FIU’s
Christina Campana, 6-2, 6-0.
