Redshirt freshman Chasity Clayton became the fourth player in the last five years to be named to the ACC All-Freshman team on Tuesday when she was one of five ACC freshmen selected.

Clayton started 12 of her 30 games played this season and finished the regular season fifth on the team in scoring (8.1 ppg) and second on the team in rebounding (5.3 rpg).

The Alexandria, Va., native joins Cierra Bravard (2009), Jacinta Monroe (2007) and Britany Miller (2006) as Seminoles who have earned the honor in the last five years.

In ACC games, the 6-0 forward, ranked fourth among ACC freshmen in both scoring and rebounding in ACC games with her 8.5 ppg and 5.7 rpg in conference games.

Clayton was named the ACC Freshman of the Week for the week of January 25 after posting back-to-back double-doubles in games against Harvard and Boston College.
