BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida State’s quest for its first national championship officially got underway in Boca Raton on Thursday. The Seminoles (22-1-1) made final preparations for their semifinal match against Stanford (20-1-3) on Friday night at 7:30 p.m. inside FAU Stadium.
The players and coaches walked the game field before taking in all the sights with a few photo opportunities inside the stadium.
The day continued with head coach Mark Krikorian, senior Dagny Brynjarsdottir and redshirt sophomore Kirsten Crowley meeting with the media during the pre-tournament press conference.
Jamia Fields, Kristin Grubka and Cheyna Williams, along with Brynjarsdottir and Krikorian then met with ESPNU’s broadcast crew to talk about the College Cup and their upcoming match against the Cardinal.
After one final practice, the night concluded with the National Championship Banquet inside FAU Stadium on the Delray Hyundai Deck where all four schools celebrated their accomplishments of making it to the final weekend in Boca Raton.
