Vanderbilt took the doubles point by winning at the no. 1 and no. 2 doubles positions. Senior Xavier Luscan and freshman Mat Cloer won the Seminoles lone doubles match at the no. 3 doubles position, 8-6.
In singles action, Cloer remained undefeated in dual match play with a 7-5, 6-4 win over Scott Brown at the no. 3 singles position. Alex Herrera also won for the Seminoles at the no. 5 position. Herrera defeated Zach Dailey (3-6, 6-2, 6-3). At the no. 6 position, Jarrod Owen took the third point for the Seminoles with his win over Josh Tarkoff (6-3, 6-4).
Next, the Seminoles will take on no. 67 Furman in Atlanta, Ga. Sunday, February 17th at 2:30 p.m. The Seminoles match with Furman on January 27th was halted due to rain. The Seminoles return home Tuesday, February 19th to face Stetson University. Match time is at 3:00 p.m. at the Scott Speicher Tennis Center.
