TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The FSU Relays got underway on Wednesday afternoon completing half of the decathlon and heptathlon events at Mike Long Track. The Seminoles’ Deanna Lane currently sits third in the heptathlon with 3,043 points, while fellow teammate Chelsea Downs is sixth with 2,594 points. In the decathlon, senior Gary Visser is eighth with a point total of 3,399.
South Florida’ Alexis McGaffagan leads the heptathlon after day one of competition with 3,194 points, while Liberty University’s Jon DeBogory leads the decathlon with 3,729 points.
The FSU Relays continue on Thursday, March 20th with the completion of the heptathlon and decathlon events, as well as a full schedule of track and field events starting at 10:00am.
