For the first time ever, the Florida State University (FSU) Football Team joined forces with United Way of the Big Bend (UWBB) in an effort to LIVE UNITED during their Day of Action.
Players divided up into teams and conducted projects at local UWBB Certified Agencies.
Volunteer projects included participating in team-building activities at Capital City Youth Services, sorting food at American Second Harvest Food Bank, serving lunch at The Shelter, and participating in children’s activities at the Big Bend Homeless Coalition.
FSU’s Day of Action was a collaboration to educate the players on the needs and disparities in this community, and give clients and families served by agencies some quality time with the players.
