Day Three Update

FEDERAL WAY, Wash. – Florida State has a berth in a championship final at the NCAA Championships in Federal Way, Wash. which are being held at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatic Center.

The 400 free relay team of sophomore Paul Murray, juniors Trice Bailey, David Sander and Mark Weber qualified in seventh place for tonight’s finals with a time of 2:53.34.

The last time the Seminoles qualified in the championship final of the event was in 1998 with team of Matt McVittie, Julio Santos, Brendon Dedekind and Stephen Parry when the team placed seventh.

In prelims, freshman Juan Sequera finished his season by swimming the 200 breast, posting a 2:00.74.

Sophomore Tom Neubacher dove his final event of the season by placing 21st in the platform with a score of 311.65

De Angulo is set to finish his collegiate career by swimming the 1650 free as he will swim in the final heat of the event as the first event at finals. The 400 free relay will be the last even of the meet tonight.
