MALIBU, Calif. – Florida State women’s tennis team continued play today at the Riviera/ITA Women’s All-American Championships in Malibu, California. The Seminoles came out strong as No. 59 Noemie Scharle paired with No. 64 Katie Rybakova won their second straight doubles match to defeat Southern Cal’s doubles team of Danielle Lao and Lyndsay Kinstler 8-3.

Florida State’s dynamic duo would continue their play by taking on Wake Forest’s Kayla Duncan and Martina Pavelec, but fell 8-5, thus ending their run in pre-qualifying doubles.

While their participation in pre-qualifying doubles is over, Scharle and Rybakova will now begin to focus their attention on qualifying singles which they will compete among a draw of 64 players.

In order for a player to advance to the main draw of qualifying singles they must win three matches.
