TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — DeMarcus Walker, who enrolled as a true freshman at Florida State University in January, was officially cleared for college football competition by the NCAA Friday.
Walker, a four-star prospect and one of the nation’s top defensive ends in the 2013 class coming out of Sandalwood High School in Jacksonville, Fla., had spent the duration of spring practices watching his new teammates and coaches from the sidelines while waiting to be officially cleared.
