TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida State diving team is set to compete at the 2016 House of Champions Invitational from Nov. 18-20 at the IUPUI Natatorium in Indianapolis, Ind. – the same venue where former FSU standout Katrina Young qualified for the 2016 Olympic Games.
The Seminoles will compete against 15 other teams, including Minnesota, Miami, Kentucky and Purdue, who traditionally field a crop of athletes at the NCAA Championships each year.
“This invite will field some of the top divers in the country,” FSU head diving coach said. “We’re expecting this meet to be like an NCAA caliber meet. We’ve been improving each day and our kids are doing some great things. This will be a big challenge, but we’re up to it and we’re ready.”
Competition will begin at 10 a.m. with one event on the slate for each session. The men will contest 1-meter while the women will go on 3-meter on Friday. The events will be switched on Saturday before both compete on platform on Sunday.
Live scoring will be available on divemeets.com.
