Dr. Angela Sehgal
Dr. Angela Sehgal, Ed.D., ATC, LAT is a full-time faculty member with The Florida State University’s (FSU) Nutrition, Food, and Exercise Sciences (NFES) Department, where she serves as the Program Director for the Athletic Training Education program. The FSU Athletic Training Education Program is nationally accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Athletic Training Education (CAATE). She is also the Associate Director of the Institute of Sports Sciences and Medicine and a graduate faculty member in the Sports Sciences Master’s Degree major in the NFES Department.
Dr. Sehgal holds a doctorate degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies from The Florida State University. Since 1988, Dr. Sehgal has been an athletic trainer, certified by the National Athletic Trainers’ Association Board of Certification (BOC) and licensed as a certified athletic trainer by the State of Florida. For a decade, Dr. Sehgal served as an assistant athletic trainer in the FSU Athletic Department. She was appointed to the State of Florida Board of Athletic Training by Governor Jeb Bush in 2004. Dr. Sehgal was been re-appointed to the Florida Board of Athletic Training by Governor Charlie Crist and is serving as the chair. Dr. Sehgal also served on the National Committee for First Aid/CPR/AED for the American Red Cross and also co-authored Where It Hurts and Why, a guide to effective, do-it-yourself pain relief.
