Eight Seminoles Named To Miami Herald’s All-Florida Team

  • Miami, FLFlorida State University placed eight football players on the Miami Herald’s inaugural all-Florida football team. That total was the second-highest among seven state universities. The Seminoles placed five players on the first team including the only true freshman to be named first team all-Florida on the offense or defense in offensive guard Rodney Hudson.


     


    Hudson was joined by wide receiver Preston Parker and place kicker Gary Cismesia as all-Florida first team selections for the offense. Linebacker Geno Hayes and punter Graham Gano were named to the defense’s first team. Cornerback Patrick Robinson, center Ryan McMahon and receiver De’Cody Fagg all garnered second team honors. Gano and Cismesia were the only two specialists named to the all-Florida team.
