TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –
With Father’s Day a not too distant memory, father and son duos can enjoy a special outing this week at the Father/Son session of the Steve Robinson Basketball Camp. The camp begins Friday, June 29 and runs through Saturday, June 30. The camp is designed to promote a bonding outing for attending fathers and sons through the great sport of basketball.
The emphasis of this camp is the father/son relationship. The fundamentals of basketball will be developed: shooting, screening, dribbling, passing and defense. Camp features include practice stations, scrimmage games and guest speakers.
“This is going to be an action-packed camp,” said Seminole head coach Steve Robinson. “I am really looking forward to this camp because of the family atmosphere that it creates.” Robinson will be among the camp participants with his sons Denzel and Tarron.
The camp takes place at Tully gymnasium on the Florida State campus Friday and Saturday. Included in the activities are father/son and father/father all-star games. During the camp, individual skills will be emphasized through team and actual game play.
Further information is available by calling camp director Red Johnston at (850) 644-1408. Additional news and a registration application can be found on the camps segment of the official website of Florida State athletics: www.seminoles.com.
