TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –
The ESPN GameDay crew will make its fourth appearance in four years at Doak Campbell Stadium as it brings its road show to town for the much anticipated matchup of Florida State and Miami Oct. 11.

Including Saturday’s game against Miami, The GameDay crew will have appeared at 18 of Florida State’s games, more than any other school in the nation. The first-ever ESPN GameDay appearance was at the Florida State -Notre Dame game in 1993 in South Bend, Ind.

GameDay’s appearance at Doak Campbell Stadium will mark the fifth time the show has covered the Florida State-Miami rivalry which is third among all match-ups covered behind Florida-Florida State and Tennessee-Florida which have both been the host game for GameDay six times. Saturday’s game will mark the sixth time Florida State will host the show, tying with Alabama, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Tennessee for third. Florida and Michigan are tied for first with the Gators and Wolverines hosting GameDay seven times.

“We are very excited to host the GameDay crew here in Tallahassee,” said Assistant Athletic Director for Media and Public Relations Rob Wilson. “It is very important for our fans to come out and show support for our school and athletics program. When the GameDay crew is in town, you know it’s a big game.”
