ESPN’S Dick Vitale To Be On Florida State Campus For Book Signing Thursday

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –
Before Florida State and North Carolina tip off Thursday night’s nationally televised men’s basketball game in the Tallahassee Leon County Civic Center, basketball fans will get the chance to meet one of the most vibrant personalities in college basketball. ESPN analyst Dick Vitale will be at the FSU Bookstore in Tallahassee on game day from 12 to 1:30 p.m. signing copies of his new book, “Living A Dream: Reflections on 25 Years Sitting In The Best Seat In The House”.


Vitale has become a fixture in the world of college basketball. His colorful expressions and uncontainable enthusiasm create an element which basketball fans have enjoyed for 25 years on the worldwide leader in sports. His years of experience in and around the game allow him the insight which has made him one of America’s most recognizable broadcast personalities.


In his most recent book, Vitale writes not only about the game, but the experiences he has enjoyed and the relationships he has developed through the game. He mixes personal accounts with issues currently surrounding the sport, and includes his opinions on the sate of the game.


A mainstay since the 1979-80 college basketball season, he has called nearly 1,000 games on both the collegiate and professional levels, including the Dec. 5, 1979 game between Wisconsin and DePaul – the first ever NCAA game broadcast on ESPN.


The FSU Bookstore, where fans can meet and greet Vitale, is located near the main parking garage next to the Oglesby Student Union.
