Fall Softball Schedule Released

Sept. 23, 2009

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – The Florida State softball team will compete in 12 exhibition games this fall as the team prepares for the 2010 schedule, head coach Lonni Alameda announced Wednesday.

Including five intra-squad scrimmage games, the Seminoles will also play against softball teams from  Tallahassee Community College, Gulf Coast Community College, University of West Florida, Pensacola Junior College, Wallace Junior College, Darton Junior College, Chipola Junior College and Northwest Florida State college.

“We are looking forward to the amount of games we have this fall,” Alameda said. “In order for the program to get better and take the next step, we have to continue to test our game abilities. We are also eager to see the development of the new additions as there are seven new student-athletes that have joined the team.

“We believe that these new players are going to provide a tremendous impact to an already talented group of returners and we are anxious to see that on the field.”
