FIBA Update: Silver For Spain

LIEPAJA, Latvia — Florida State women’s basketball player Leonor Rodriguez and Spain finished in second place at the 2010 FIBA U20 European Championship to capture their second-straight silver metal at the games.

Spain lost in the championship game, 75-74, to Russia.

For Rodriguez, FSU’s sophomore guard played very well in Latvia in helping guide the Spanish team to the championship contest.

Rodriguez averaged 11 points per game on 51.6 percent shooting. She also finished with per-game averages of 28.6 3-point shooting, 5.1 rebounds and 27.2 minutes. At the U20 European Championships, Rodriguez ranked sixth in field goal percentage and 16th in field goals made.
