TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –
The final session of the fourth annual Steve Robinson 2001 Florida State basketball camp for boys begins July 6 and runs through July 8. The popular post/perimeter camp that emphasizes play in the post and on the perimeter is for boys from the ages of 12-18. Skills are taught by Florida State coaches and players and highly acclaimed coaches from the Tallahassee area and statewide.
The emphasis of the post camp is to teach the basics of post play: footwork, shooting, rebounding, passing and defense. The emphasis of the perimeter camp to teach the basics of guard play: passing, ballhandling, shooting and defense.
“This is one of our more popular camps,” said Seminole head coach Steve Robinson. “I really enjoy teaching at this camp because we are able to work with solid basketball players who are looking for a challenging couple of days of work on the basketball court.”
Registration is from 11:00 a.m. to noon Friday with the camp running through noon on July 8. The camp takes place in Tully Gymnasium on the Florida State campus.
