Cary, N.C.--The V Foundation for Cancer Research, one of the nation's leading cancer research foundations, and ESPN
personality Dick Vitale are excited to announce an extensive list of celebrities from sports and entertainment that are
scheduled to attend the Seventh Annual Dick Vitale Gala on May 18 in Sarasota, Florida. Net proceeds from the event
will benefit pediatric cancer research in Florida through The V Foundation.

"For the seventh consecutive year, Sarasota will be the toast of the sports world," said Vitale. "The gala will have
so many big names, led by our honorees, Lou Holtz, Gary Williams and Jay Wright. Then you have the likes of John
Calipari, Rick Pitino, Billy Donovan, Bob Huggins, Frank Martin, Leonard Hamilton and Jim Calhoun from college
basketball, baseball's Gary Sheffield, new Bucs coach Greg Schiano, Heisman Trophy winner Vinny Testaverde, Florida
State football coach Jimbo Fisher and many more. It should be awesome, baby, with a capital A as we raise over $1
million for pediatric cancer research."

Among others scheduled to attend the Gala are the NFL's Ricky Watters, Reggie Brooks, and Ken Dorsey as well as New
York Giants' offensive lineman David Baas. NCAA men's basketball will be represented by Final Four coaches Calipari
