TALLAHASSEE, Fla. –
The Florida State men’s basketball program and head coach Leonard Hamilton are offering two specialty camps this summer: An Elite Camp for top players and a Strength and Conditioning Camp to better enhance each campers physical conditioning and endurance in order to better prepare them for competitive basketball games and drills. Both camps are open to boys in grades 7-12 with the emphasis on making elite players better and helping them become more competitive at the highest levels of basketball.
The elite camp will take place June 27-29 and the strength and conditioning camp is June 29-30. Both camps will be held at the Florida State Basketball Training Center on the FSU campus.
Both the elite and strength and conditioning camps are offered as overnight and commuter sessions in June. The cost of the three-day elite camp is $135 for a commuter and $180 for overnight campers. The two-day strength and conditioning camp is offered at $90 for a commuter and $120 for overnight campers.
Participants will receive individual instruction from Seminole coaches and players. Each camper will receive a camp basketball, t-shirt, picture and meals.
Resident campers will be provided meals on campus and should bring gym shoes, a one-week supply of gym shorts, t-shirts, athletic socks and underwear. Towels, a pillow, two twin-size sheets, a light blanket and toiletry items will also be necessary. Day campers must make their own arrangements for meals.
Campers will be covered by a group accident insurance policy provided by the university. Each player must have a physical prior to participating and documentation must be in the Florida State Basketball Office before the first day of camp. No physicals will be given by the university.
