TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida State’s cross country teams came together Tuesday, January 13th in the Florida State Varsity Club to celebrate both the men’s and women’s accomplishments of the 2008 season.
Under the direction of NCAA South Region Women’s Cross Country Coach of the Year Karen Harvey, the women’s team had the program’s most successful season. The Seminoles placed first at the ACC Championships, took the top spot at the South Regional meet and earned third place at nationals led by junior Susan Kuijken (Nijmegen, Netherlands), who crossed the finish line in second.
Head Coach Bob Braman led the men’s team to a fourth-place finish at pre-nationals. The team grabbed third at the south regional meet and set five personal-best times at nationals.
