March 29, 2000

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The Florida State Lady Seminoles match with the
Duke Blue Devils Wednesday was cancelled due to unfavorable weather
conditions in Tallahassee, Fla.

The match, originally slated to start at 6:30pm, was briefly
delayed by light showers and then once the match got underway a downpour
ensued forcing postponement. The match was rescheduled for Thursday at
noon at the Scott Speicher Tennis Center.

Each team is looking to improve within the conference. Duke enters
the match with a record of 3-0 in the ACC while the Lady Seminoles head
into their sixth conference match at 4-1. The two teams are chasing the
third-ranked team in the country, the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, for first
place in the conference.

Florida State has three matches remaining before heading into
post-season play. All three matches will be played at the Scott Speicher
Tennis Center in Tallahassee.
