Florida State Finishes 10th At Tennessee Tournament Of Champions

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — The Florida State men’s golf team opened its
1999-2000 season with a 10th place on Wednesday at the 16-team Tennessee
Tournament of Champions. The Seminoles 54-hole team total was 18-over par,
882, 23 strokes behind champion Virginia.

Matt Raitz led the Seminoles by tying for 12th place. Raitz carded
rounds of 74, 70 and 73 for a one-over par, 217. He finished six strokes
behind winner Michael Webb of Augusta State.

Other Florida State finishers included: Guy Bradley, who tied for
27th at four-over (220), Matt Ackley and Kris Hannah, who both tied for
45th at eight-over (224) and Kevin Zuelch, who tied for 59th at 11-over
(227).

The men’s team is back in action on October 25 and 26 at the Gary
Couch/Outback Steakhouse Invitational in Tampa.
