Florida State Finishes Preparations for Duke

Sept. 30, 1999

TALLAHASSE, Fla. — The No. 1 ranked Florida State Seminoles finished up
preparations for Saturday’s 12:00 p.m. contest vs. the Duke Blue Devils
with a 15-period practice on the Ed Williamson Practice fields. The
Seminoles began practice with work on the kicking game, before splitting up
for offensive and defensive work against the Blue Devil scout teams.

“Well, we had a good week of preparation,” said head coach Bobby Bowden.
“We had some of the hot weather, just in case it’s hot over there. Of
course, you always have to watch for complacency. If you see them
slacking, it scares you, but they’ve been working hard this week.”
